Admission Requirements
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION
Admission will be open to all who qualify without prejudice. The entry requirement of the school is aggregate 24 or better for those who have completed senior high school education. WASSCE certificate holders should have passes not below grade D in three elective courses. They should also have passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science with grades not below grade D. We seek to admit students from all backgrounds. Applicants with A level certificates should have a minimum of two (2) passes in science including biology. Mature students who have worked as laboratory assistants for at least 3 years can also apply. Such applicants will provide a letter of recommendation from their employers and two referees who are aware of the academic competence of the applicant to pursue the program.
REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION OF STUDENTS
1. Only students who fully satisfy the entry requirements for their programme of study can be admitted
to the College. Any student found not to be fully qualified will be withdrawn immediately if found out.
If found out after graduation the College shall withdraw the Diploma.
2. A student found to have gained admission into the College through fraud or misrepresentation may
be liable to prosecution and dismissa
NEW STUDENTS
1. On arrival on campus, new students shall register at their respective departments.
2. Student shall pay the necessary charges/fees as shall be determined by the Academic Board.
CONTINUING STUDENTS
1. Continuing students shall also register at their respective departments after the necessary
formalities such as paying their fee in full at the
2. Accounts Department and others at the Administration have been completed.
PENALTY FOR LATE REGISTRATION
1. A fine determined from time to time for each day of absence shall be imposed on both
new and continuing students.
2. No registration shall be allowed after two weeks of re-opening.
TRANSFER FROM OTHER INSTITUTIONS
Students transferring from other institutions to the College must:
1. Meet the College specified admissions requirements.
2. Transfer to the relevant programme.
3. Not transfer to the first year of any programme.
4. Have a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
5. Abide by the rules and regulations of the College.
6. Submit transcript and clearance certificate from his/her former institution.
7. Submit an application to the Registrar who shall refer it to the appropriate Head of Department
for action.
REQUEST FOR TRANSCRIPT
1. Academic transcript shall only be given to institutions of higher learning, scholarship boards
and employers on request made by such institutions in the behalf of students.
2. On no account would academic transcripts be given directly to students.
DEFERMENT
Any student who has completed at least one semester of study in the College may apply to the Academic
Board for deferment provided;
1. The student is in good academic standing.
2. The student will be readmitted into the semester of deferment only.
3. The period of deferment shall not exceed one academic session.
